Glen Rock has two NJ Transit stations on Rock Road: Glen Rock–Main Line and Glen Rock–Boro Hall on the Bergen County Line. Trains run to Hoboken, with connections to New York Penn Station. Route 208 runs through town for drivers.

The heart of town is the stretch of Rock Road between the two stations, home to long-standing local favorites like the Glen Rock Inn (since 1948) and Rock Ridge Pharmacy (since 1950).
The borough is named for a 570-ton glacial boulder that still sits where Doremus Avenue meets Rock Road. The Lenape called it Pamachapuka. It's a true local landmark, and a small-town touch you won't find elsewhere.
